Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” This is for any of you who might be struggling at this time. God is always there for you, stay close to Him.
Here is the latest update as we head into September. As of this writing California has allowed churches to meet indoors at 25% capacity. That would be 40 people for us in the Sanctuary with masks and social distancing. Because of these restrictions we have decided to continue to meet outside for our Sunday morning service at 7:00 a.m. It gives us the flexibility to have more people together and the safety of the fresh air. It is pretty amazing that we have made it this far with only two warm and humid Sundays. For this we are most grateful.
Again we ask you to please pray for the leadership of our church as we make decisions. Our primary desire is to be in the center of the Lord’s will and to have a correct Biblical perspective as we navigate these interesting times.
Below is a list of the services that are taking place at the Christian Center - some inside, some outside, some on Zoom:
Sunday: 7:00 a.m. - Worship Service on the Lawn (also online) Sunday: 6:30 p.m. - Youth Group in the Fellowship Hall Monday: 9:30 a.m. - Women’s Bible Study (on Zoom) Wednesday: 5:00 p.m. - Prayer Meeting in the Sanctuary Friday: 9:30 a.m. - Mom Heart 1st Friday of the Month (contact Marian) Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - Men’s Bible Study in the Fellowship Hall and on Zoom
(Continuing Information from previous Update) We will continue to have a ‘drive-in’ option for those of you who would rather stay in your cars on Sunday morning. We recognize that our congregation is primarily elderly and at the greatest risk with this virus, so please do not feel any pressure to attend. We are still offering our services online. • If you are experiencing any symptoms of being sick, please stay home and join us when you are feeling better. • We are reserving the north parking area for those who want to stay in their cars for the service. Feel free to park anywhere else if you will be joining us on the lawn. We will have ushers directing cars where to park. • You can sit anywhere you want on the grass. We are asking non-family members to stay 6’ apart. • You are welcome to bring your own chair, or we can provide one for you. • Face coverings are suggested to bring, but not required if you remain 6’ apart. • You can view the song lyrics and teaching slides on your smart phone at ccborrego.com. • You can bring water or coffee, but please do not bring any food. • We are asking children to stay with their parents at all times. • There are no children’s classes, but we have coloring/activity pages for children ages 2-10 years old. • Bathrooms will be available. • Length of service will be approximately 1 hour.
