We are going to start meeting inside the Sanctuary beginning tomorrow, April 18th at 9:00 a.m. There are a few factors that brought us to this decision.
The restrictions for churches meeting inside have eased up substantially. California is looking at doing away with the Tier system in mid-June. The weather is going to start warming up and we don’t see a reason to move the services earlier due to the easing of the restrictions. Finally, and the main reason we are starting tomorrow, is that my family and I will be gone in a couple of weeks as we take Joanna to Arizona, and it requires a lot of set-up work to do an outside service. We want to make it as easy as possible for those who will be filling in.
I must say, we have all loved meeting outside. It is such a wonderful setting. We have talked about meeting outside periodically when we come into the cooler months this Fall.
We still want to be sensitive to everyone’s health and wellbeing. We are going to have every other pew roped off for the foreseeable future as well as having the windows open in the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall (overflow) with the air conditioning and fans on.
