STEVE & MARIAN MELLOR

PASTOR

Steve became the Senior Pastor of the Christian Center in 1997. Steve and Marian were married in 1999. They have 3 children, Joanna, Sarah and Michael.

Favorite Verse: 1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

TESTIMONY

Steve was born and raised in central California. He became a Christian at 23 while living in San Diego and shortly thereafter moved to Borrego Springs. 

Steve worked with the youth of the Christian Center beginning in 1992 serving under Walter Buck, the founding pastor of the church. In 1996 Pastor Buck went to be with the Lord and in January of 1997 Steve was voted in as the senior pastor. He received his Associate of Theology degree from Calvary Chapel Bible College.

Steve first met Marian when she was performing with a Christian drama ministry called the Covenant Players in 1998. They were engaged 6 months later and were married in December of 1999 after Marian returned from a medical mission in East Africa. 

The Lord has blessed Steve and Marian with three wonderful children who serve with them in the ministry.
